In our schools we are facing a challenge in
regulating cell phone use by the students. Also schools, administrators,
teachers, parents, and students continue to struggle with politics on cell phone
use in schools. Once I was teaching in AUS school, every morning the students had to stay in the
playground for more than 15 min more in order for the teachers to search for
presence of the phones carried by the students. And every time that find only
two or three cell phones out of 30. This is because the students used to hide
them very well in a way that it is difficult to be found easily.
Now a days,for may of the parents, buying cell phones for
their children is on of the major needs. Because of this I believe that successful
discipline in the schools is the one that allow cell phones but help students
to know their limits in using cell phones, because we reached the time that we
used to agree that it is impossible for us as a teachers and administrators to
prevent cell phones in schools.

ReplyDeleteReally it is a problem faced approximately all school and solution comes for the cooperation between school and parents.
Parents should know the disadvantage of cell phones and also schools should educated students about the misuses of the cell.
this problem is becoming really wide in our schools. Parents are becoming lenient and buying phones for their kids at a very young age. Students may not recognize the disadvantages of using mobiles during the class time but parents should be aware of that. School administration should meet with parents and explain their point of view and reach an agreement.
ReplyDeletei agree that cell phones are needs these days, and most parents nowadays buy their children cell phones to stay in contact with them. i was caught by a clever action taken by one of the schools where they have a basket in class and whenever students enter the classroom they keep their cell phones in the basket till they leave.
ReplyDeleteI think the cell-Phone aren't a problem but the way we as school and teacher address them is the problem. losing the available time of teaching on searching students for cell-phones every day is a problem. this action will show that the schools don't trust the student and considering them to be liars. why don't we, instead teach student to respect the classroom authority and allow them to use their cell-phones freely on their break time.
ReplyDeleteHello there, I must agree with the idea that cellphones are great needs for us today however it is still important to inculcate proper control over its use specially when dealing with young adolescents, by no means should cellphones enter with them to the classrooms, the teachers's authority must be enhanced not neglected.
ReplyDeleteit is a dangerous thing that students may have cellphones inside classrooms or schools because they affect students' performance negatively. most of students are teenagers and must be supervised by educators.
